G Meters

Oddly enough, in over ten years of business and selling over 175 data loggers to drag racers, only six G Meters have been sold.

Drag racing is the motor sport of extreme acceleration and a G Meter can tell you what your acceleration rate is.

However, a single axis G Meter will over read if the car/bike does a wheel stand.

FXL DATA are redesigning the G Meters to have three axis sensing to be able to make a corrected output G Meter that will give a correct reading, irrespective of the way it is mounted.

Another way of monitoring acceleration is by calculating Rate of Change of Speed (RoCoS) via the FXL software. This relies on the car/bike not doing a wheelie.
